I recognized my passion for physical therapy at a young age, first volunteering and then working as a physical therapy aide at several centers in New York City while completing my undergraduate studies. Since receiving my Master of Science in Physical Therapy, in 2009, I have worked in a variety of settings and have treated patients with neurological, orthopedic and sports injuries.
I became interested in pediatrics while working at Saint Luke's Hospital in Manhattan. For the past 10 years, I have worked extensively with infants, toddlers and teenagers with a large variety of conditions associated with gross motor delay. My ability to motivate and educate my pediatric patients, parents and caregivers combined with my manual therapy and advanced clinical reasoning skills ensures optimal functioning.
My continuing education credits include, but are not limited to, advanced study in torticollis, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Treatment of the Baby, Pediatric Yoga for Special Needs Children, Sensory Integration and Hypotonia. I am certified in Level II Medek Training.
My approach to physical therapy treatment for children comes from my own passion for physical activity. I am an avid runner and I exercise regularly. I love my work, and I am devoted to helping children, along with their families, to find their strength and independence in order to live fully, explore the world, and play!
